a little about tina
One day, in the middle of building my company my daughter got dressed for school wearing two different color TOMS – one black, one blue. It was her birthday. It was the ultimate moment of expression and confirmed what I was doing (“Yes!”, I thought). I was building a girl’s brand based on creativity + individuality and there it was before my eyes!
I came from a world of great design. My mother was an accomplished painter, decorator, published poet, sculptor and extraordinary entertainer. She always encouraged creativity and lived a life of passion in everything she did. This fostered my love for design and led to fashion school. I worked in fashion pre-internet and later landed an uber creative job at a software company doing their global events – which was a blast! Two kids, a 16-year career in events, and well…I’m back living my passion.
Based in Austin, Valentina hopes to foster passion, creativity and bring happiness to all girls – and always let it be ok to wear two different shoes.
